Web Dev

Last morning Vivian and I had a conference call with a lady from A Weekly Affair to talk about their website and its design. We are to replace their current web dev guy and do a general overhaul of their site to make it more user friendly. It looks to be an interesting job and will give Vivian and my web dev team a starting point. I’m looking forward to this because I will probably be pretty bored over the summer. Other than my UROP I don’t have much going on. Speaking of which, I still need to write my UROP proposal. I will get on that later today. Either between now and Giant Relay Day or after.
I still need ideas of what I want to do with my domain. Anyone have any ideas?
So today I reinstalled Windows 7 RC because sometimes things just work better in Windows. Mainly because I was hoping to have more native speed on some Windows only apps. So far this morning, it has not been much of a success. The Java ME application doesn’t want to work properly. It was very difficult to find a RSS feed reader I liked. Akregator is not included in KDE for Windows. I might just switch back, try Kubuntu, and run XP in a VM. But then I also have problems in linux where because I’m using a 64 bit machine certain other programs don’t work. So, my decision is to try Kubuntu 32 bit. Lose out on .8GB of my ram, but have more compatability for the loss of performance.
Computers suck. I’m tired. And oh lookey, I start doing work RIGHT NOW!
